We're living in a time
where anger feels so natural for most
this however is wrong...
A box of an implant consciousness
Carbon copies, all so similar and dull...
A cause of anger to us all
we feel so lost
a moving void of human volume
an insatiable existence
All bowing down to the new world
of false prophets and messiahs
All specialized in a field
some experts at numbers, derivative from us
We are lost
We are lost in anger
Derivative of the mind
an interpretation
Most of them though wrong
an abbreviation
Our ignorance in the end
the angering factor that keeps feeding the pain
All is so random and diverse
it cannot be condenced
Dissorder and violent behaviour
A wandering breed of anger
An never-ending spinning vicious cycle
A cause of anger to us all
we feel so lost
a moving void of human volume
an insatiable existence
unable to saturate
All bowing down to the new world
of false prophets and messiahs
All specialized in a field
some experts at hope, derivative from us
We are lost
We are lost in anger

Death metal has never really been my thing. I get that it’s hugely popular, but I was too young for thrash and missed the initial wave of death completely. Doom and stoner have always connected with me, but there’s something about this album that hits a sweet spot for me. Maybe it’s the occult-tinged theme of tarot cards, or maybe it’s just the homage to that old, dirty, grungy style of death metal that got that whole sub-genre going. Either way, this album is really good. Check it out! Kirk Gauthier
